The Frozen Ocean is a collection of songs I, Dave Swanson, have written over the course of the last 3 years. Thematically they chronicle 3 days and nights of explorer Henry Hudson, lost and alone in the frozen Arctic ocean. Lyrically they talk about struggles and victories of forgiveness, love, loss and faith. The Frozen Ocean EP is a very personal CD and the lyrics display the best and worst parts of myself. I\'ve tried to create a world within these songs, to transport the listener to a different place. I hope you enjoy listening to these songs half as much as I have enjoyed making them.

Scott Towaij is a unique individual with a very powerful story. He is worship leader and a musician/singer/songwriter but he is also a teacher in a B.I.P. (Behavior Intervention program) with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board. He has two degrees (Psychology & Education) and dual certification as a Trauma and Addictions counselor. He has received two awards from the city of Ottawa for his work with children but was once heavily involved in drugs, alcohol and a seedy underworld that almost cost him his life. The fact that Scott is alive today is incredible enough but when you consider the fact that he survived sexual, physical, emotional and mental abuse his story is simply miraculous. Scott has been clean and sober for 21 years now by the grace of Jesus Christ!
Scott presently leads Worship at The MET (The Metropolitan Bible Church) in Ottawa, Ontario twice a month and helps out other area Churches as the need arises. He has been heavily involved with Children\'s Ministry for a number of years and is the Ministry leader for the service arm of momMENtum which is called M.O.S.T. (Men Out Serving Together).
Scott is not new to the music scene as he has been in a variety of different bands since the 80’s. His writing style merges folk, rock, funk, blues and even a bit of jazz. His debut Christian album entitled "Your Love Has Set Me Free" was nominated in the 30TH annual Covenant Awards for JAZZ/BLUES ALBUM of the YEAR. Interestingly enough this was actually Scott’s second album. His 1996 debut secular release entitled "Pushing Through the Pavement" had a top 10 rock hit in Canada. The song Don't blame me I only live here made it on a number of rock charts exactly one position higher than Flood by Jars of Clay and received major airplay and specials on 20 major FM rock stations across Canada. The disc was additionally syndicated to all 30 CBC afternoon shows where it was featured and praised for the quality of the songwriting.
One of the things Scott loves to do is to share his faith testimony with others. Although his story is painful describing a past filled with trouble, he will be very quick to point out that God is using him in a powerful way today. Scott believes very strongly that God allowed him to live through many horrible things so he could reach many who would otherwise be unreachable. Scott identifies greatly with both Paul's struggles that he describes in The Bible and Johnny Cash's struggles in his life. Scott believes that like Paul, he needs to share his faith testimony with others to strengthen, encourage and challenge them to shine their light for Jesus!

OK, so we've been really busy this year. First, we are excited to tell you that we have signed with INO Records! We had a good run with the folks at Word, and left some great relationships, but I can't express enough how happy we are with this new deal and our new friends at INO.
We went into the studio immediately and just finished recording a new album called EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT NOW. We think you're gonna LOVE IT!
It’s a very unique album that can only be described as… well, I’ll let you describe it when you hear it. Hopefully you'll use words like "awesome," "rad," "great," "amazing," "groundbreaking," "not the worst CD I’ve heard," etc…
Also, we want everyone to know that Cody Pellerin, Stellar Kart guitar player and one of our founding band members decided that it was time for him to step off the road and leave Stellar Kart. We love and miss Cody, but he felt strongly that God was leading him to spend more time at home with his wife. How can you argue with that decision? Good luck, Cody! So it makes sense to introduce you to our new guitar player, Jon Howard. Many of you have seen Jon play with his old band, Dizmas. Jon has jumped right in. We love him and we know you will too. In her latest album “Silent Screams” the focus is on encouraging those who are ensnared by depression, anger, loneliness or insecurities to cry out for help from Jesus Christ and from others. As Eowyn explains herself, “It breaks my heart to see people hurting. I can’t help but cry, because I understand what they’re going through, and I truly know how they can be whole again.”
“Silent Screams,” was produced by Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Pillar, Disciple). With a style that is filled with industrial rock sound, inspiring vocal imaging and a powerful, dramatic presence, this album is set to make a dominant stand in the market place. Eowyn’s honest writing style and hypnotic voice were enhanced by the addition of Pillar members who were involved in the writing process as well as playing on the album. For those of you in Nashville you know as well as I do how badly the word needs spread about our disaster here. Most I have talked to outside of our city have only heard of the depths of our destruction via Twitter and Facebook, this is a shame.
Last week I spent 3 full days in Bellevue helping those who have lost everything try to establish themselves on the road to recovery. We removed all of their belongings from what used to be their home, and now is only a grave and a reminder of everything they once had, we gutted their houses – most from floor to ceiling. Removing all carpet, tile, hardwood floors, drywall, door – window frames, appliances, and cabinets. Doing as much as we could to keep mold from settling in and causing the house to be condemned.
The looks on the faces of all those who once lived there is something that will stay with me forever. I could feel the pain as it lingered in their eyes. Shock is definitely still a big part of what keeps them from completely losing it – I think it will be a while before this really sinks in for all of us.
I stood and listened as people told stories of how a couple in the next house died together because they could not get out. They told their own stories of how they were up to their neck in water and panicking to reach the second floor of their home.
Their reality, their nightmare is not being told. Nashville needs you. Nashville needs hope.
Nashville needs to know, and feel, that the sun is coming out.

Born and raised in good ole TEXAS! My mom started dragging me to every revival and gospel meeting since I was a little girl... and that is what stired up my passion for Christ, and for the things of God. I found myself yearning and longing to worship.,. but i wasnt sure how... so i started playing guitar, and God just went to work on my heart and 99% of the songs i have written were out of that "core connection" with christ. His love is amazing and his faithfulness just blows me away! I believe that now more than ever it is time for the church to rise up and fulfill its purpose...and to start off our journey we gotta connect with the Father, and thats through "intamate" worship.
