For those of you in Nashville you know as well as I do how badly the word needs spread about our disaster here. Most I have talked to outside of our city have only heard of the depths of our destruction via Twitter and Facebook, this is a shame.

Last week I spent 3 full days in Bellevue helping those who have lost everything try to establish themselves on the road to recovery. We removed all of their belongings from what used to be their home, and now is only a grave and a reminder of everything they once had, we gutted their houses – most from floor to ceiling. Removing all carpet, tile, hardwood floors, drywall, door – window frames, appliances, and cabinets. Doing as much as we could to keep mold from settling in and causing the house to be condemned.

The looks on the faces of all those who once lived there is something that will stay with me forever. I could feel the pain as it lingered in their eyes. Shock is definitely still a big part of what keeps them from completely losing it – I think it will be a while before this really sinks in for all of us.

I stood and listened as people told stories of how a couple in the next house died together because they could not get out. They told their own stories of how they were up to their neck in water and panicking to reach the second floor of their home.

Their reality, their nightmare is not being told.
Nashville needs you.
Nashville needs hope.

Nashville needs to know, and feel, that the sun is coming out.

GJ, Boston native recording artist, was scheduled to work with some of music industry’s biggest artists, managers, and producers when a destined encounter with one of his favorite music producers, Rodney Jerkins, caused him to put his projects on hold. The Christian R&B artist, who's been compared to the likes of Justin Timberlake, NeYo and Michael Jackson, was reminded of the need to be sold out to Christ first before embarking on his many music projects. After 10 years of producing tracks, this decision would prove to be the turning point in GJ’s young music career.

Focusing on relationship rather than religion, accessible lyrics and dance tracks rather than predictable and monotonous melodies, GJ\'s sound is both ground breaking and refreshing to the gospel music scene. On stage, his passion captivates his audience with every note and every move. Eleven-year-old Gracie is the daughter of artists Derek Joseph (the lead singer of Isaiah Six) and Heidi Jo. She has loved Jesus and enjoyed singing as long as she can remember! For years, she’s traveled all over the United States with her father’s band Isaiah Six, selling bracelets and necklaces along with her sisters through their business “Love the Nations Jewelry” to raise money for missions.

Now, with a call to be used by God at a young age, Gracie recorded her first two singles in 2008. She’s already been sharing her music on the road with her father and mother. She also co-wrote a song with her father called “Always” that has been used in children’s camps and ministries. She’s been to Guatemala, and for the first time traveled to Uganda in August of 2008.
