Artist: code Song: Blessed Be The Name CD: Beautiful Thing Genre: electronicasynth/PW Label:RazzBarry Records Homepage
Impacting Electronica-Dance & PW FORMATS
The title track, now this song is a personal mountaintop accomplishment for me. You see, I’ve had the music and title for about seven years or so just waiting to be finished. The really hard part for me was to tell the story of Jesus’ last night on earth and what it might have felt like through His eyes. We can only speculate and imagine just how much pain He must have gone through to save us. Such a beautiful thing!
Beautiful Thing: I like to call this the album that almost didn’t happen. I wanted to record a new CD right on the heels of the previous one, Lost In Egypt (2009), but life took a quick and unexpected turn for me and my family.
In April 2010, I caught a virus that completely wiped out all of the hearing I had in my left ear overnight. I was now hearing with just one damaged ear. I could no longer hear in stereo.
Just as I was dealing with that situation, my father Julius was rushed to the hospital with stomach pain. We learned later that day that he had an inoperable mass on his pancreas, and I knew I had about nine months of life to spend with him.
A few weeks later, my sister Julie was also diagnosed with cancer. Our family spent every hour we could encouraging her as she went through several surgeries and chemotherapy.
In February, I was at my father’s side when he left this earth and entered into eternity. I was emotionally bankrupt and had no desire to write and record another Code project, but with the prompting of a friend, I powered up the studio and gave it a shot. Nothing!
I tried for days to write something that had some sense of life and melody to it but nothing came out. I was in a dark place and didn’t really care if I came out. I finally prayed a simple prayer: “God, we’ve had a good run making music together for over twenty years and I have no regrets. If you want me to make another Code record then you’ll have to send your spirit to inspire and write through me, and if not, well I’m fine with that too.”
In the next two hours that followed that prayer I wrote the song “Hey Death” which is about watching my father slip into eternity knowing death no longer has its sting.
Another song “Only The Beginning” followed later, again about the joy of leaving this earth and the promises of seeing heaven’s splendor.
The title track “Beautiful Thing” was the last song to be finished. I’ve had this arrangement in my song files for a long time, and I knew it needed to be the title of the CD. It was also the most difficult to pen lyrically which is why it was sitting in my song vault for so long. I wanted to paint a picture of the things Christ might have felt in his last hours leading up to His brutal death and just how ugly and yet ultimately beautiful it was that He was crucified for all of mankind.
To me this album is stylistically reminiscent of Arms Around the World (1995). There are acoustic elements mixed with electronic and industrial sounds.
Without a doubt this album has been a passionate labor of love for me, and I want to dedicate it to my loving earthly father who modeled Christ for me all his life, Julius Blaze.

Nashville-based label Transform Music Group announces the addition of female rock artist Miss Angie to its roster. A pioneer of the CCM female rock movement, Miss Angie will release her third national album, Time & Space, on July 26.
Debuting on the music scene in 1997, Miss Angie returns with a new look, new music, and new label partner for her latest endeavor, a 12-song record featuring beautifully simplistic and startlingly crafted melodies that rock.
Transform Music Group founder and president Matt Rogers comments, “Miss Angie paved the way for many of the female artists we enjoy today. Veteran fans of Christian music will instantly fall back in love with Miss Angie, and we're excited to introduce her to a brand new generation of listeners.”
“I'm so over-the-top happy to be back making music again and to be working with Matt Rogers and Transform Music!” says Miss Angie. “I love their vision and heart. It's so cool for me to get to live out this dream God put in my heart, and I look forward to doing that with Transform.”
About Miss Angie: A native of Springfield, Mo., Angie Turner, better known a Miss Angie, first introduced her signature blend of rock, electronic and pop sounds on debut album, 100 Million Eyeballs, released by Myrrh Records in 1997. The record spawned a No. 1 CHR single with “Lift My Eyes,” whose music video was featured on “WOW 1998-97: The Year’s Top Christian Music Videos” DVD.
Miss Angie followed her freshman release with a second album, Triumphantine in 1999, which again produced a No. 1 CHR hit “Dancin’ In My Head.” The two critically acclaimed projects additionally afforded Miss Angie touring opportunities alongside such artists as Sixpence None the Richer while garnering her major festivals appearances, including Cornerstone, among others. Dying to our flesh and our sinful nature is never a "pretty" process. I think sometimes, also, we get caught up in the flowery approach to God (I count myself in that bunch) and we forget that if we were to actually be in His presence, we (or at least *I*) would most certainly not give Him a high-five... I would fall to my face with fear and trembling... combined with hope and excitement - it would be a complicated rush of emotions to say the least.
This song song simply acknowledges that God is big. Big enough to move in our lives, despite our sometimes stubborn unwillingness to let Him... He is continuously saving us from ourselves.
lyrics: Take naivete from me and leave me isolated all at once I feel so free, yet so captivated You make the endless waves of time - seem so temporary. You're my missionary, emissary... adversary. You define the line between human and divine in this empty place intrinsic grace, so necessary. See the skies divide.. when hope and fear collide from this cemetery, offer me this sanctuary.
There is violence when You move yet I'm stationary devastate all my design and make it arbitrary You break my legs yet leave my knees... my will penetrated. I'm eviscerated... consecrated... lacerated. This heart, You break it and make it sacred these eyes awaken, this breath is taken from You You define the line between human and divine....

Artist: GJ Song: Did You Know (Remix Feat. CITO) CD: The Debut Genre: electronicasynth Label:Independent Homepage
GJ, Boston native recording artist, was scheduled to work with some of music industry’s biggest artists, managers, and producers when a destined encounter with one of his favorite music producers, Rodney Jerkins, caused him to put his projects on hold. The Christian R&B artist, who's been compared to the likes of Justin Timberlake, NeYo and Michael Jackson, was reminded of the need to be sold out to Christ first before embarking on his many music projects. After 10 years of producing tracks, this decision would prove to be the turning point in GJ’s young music career.
Focusing on relationship rather than religion, accessible lyrics and dance tracks rather than predictable and monotonous melodies, GJ\'s sound is both ground breaking and refreshing to the gospel music scene. On stage, his passion captivates his audience with every note and every move. It was that buzz around GJ that garnered invitations to perform at local churches, outreach programs as well as some of the major universities in Massachusetts, including UMass Boston, UMass Amherst and Tufts University, to name a few. GJ's inaugural album, The Debut, was released on January 15, 2009.

The familiar R&P voice behind many of CMR’s memorable hooks, is a versatile crooner and multi-talented producer with unmistakable style. His impressive list of collaborations includes “Cry No More” (Holy Culture/The Cross Movement), “N.F.L. (New Found Love)” (Moment of Truth/Da’ T.R.U.T.H.) and“My Clothes, My Hair” (The Thesis/The Ambassador) to name a few. He’s the point man behind So Hot Productions, the heavily sought after production company that contributes to the diversity of sound heard on many Urban & Hip Hop Gospel projects. His work has garnered GRAMMY®, Dove and Stellar Award recognition.
Building on the foundation of his debut album, Metamorphosis, J.R. now presents the antithesis of an infamous heavy metal album of similar moniker, Death By Stereo, with Life By Stereo—signifying God’s use of music as a medium to communicate LIFE rather than DEATH. Life By Stereo centers on the human existence, its trials and the healing balm of the gospel message. Like the book of Psalms, J.R.’s pen scopes the lamentations, woes and triumphs of the whole person. Transcending generation and genre, the album ministers in a style all its own—fusing eclectic urban gospel, contemporary R&B, Rock and Pop styles in a way pioneered by tobyMac.
J.R. has himself undergone a transformation and he sings about it with a soul-stirring grit and maturity that is revealed in the artistry of this album’s jam-packed array of percussive beats and explosive lyrical delivery. The Outkast-meets—Gwen Stefani single “Not a Slave” hones in on the perils of a past life ruled by sin contrasted with a present life ruled by the Holy Spirit.

Artist: Code of Ethics Song: Lost In Egypt (Desert Sand Mix) CD: Lost In Egypt Genre: electronicasynth Label:Razzbarry Records Homepage
THE GOD STORY
The mile long bridge that stretches across A1A between Duval County and Amelia Island is a simple, beautiful drive. The picturesque scene of the sun rays on the ocean makes this open stretch of road my absolute favorite ride.
But on the afternoon of May 1, 2004 this site changed forever in my mind. What had started as a beautiful, sunny Saturday, eased into an afternoon shower that suddenly turned to an angry storm. Within moments, rain slapped my face and pummeled my soaking back. As a downpour reduced the traction from my motorcycle, airstreams threatened to hurl me over the two-foot guardrail protecting from a nearly 60 food drop.
Someone had screamed “STOP!” a distance before I committed to this course. Now I knew why.
Everything went black.
Consequently life seemed dark and void of light, as I stood deaf and blind in the months to come. I was alive but deeply shaken, every fiber within afraid. That day I lost control of my bike, but really, I lost control of many things in my life.
The crash caused a lot of permanent, physical damage. Severe head trauma left me with broken ear bones as well as holes in my eardrums and eyes. I also experienced a disorienting imbalance called vertigo for over a year. My severely wounded soul sought comfort from God and I reached the edge of what I could physically and emotionally endure.
All the while, my spiritual being experienced a different type of hurt. God had gifted me to be a musician, the only livelihood I’d ever known. As I questioned how I would continue, I considered that the loud voice pleading me to stop on that day was a cautioning of the Holy Spirit. It pained me to think I chose not to listen.
But comfort came in knowing that “He who began a good work in me would carry it on to completion.” * There was certain to be a beautiful outcome from this disaster. I had to trust God was still in control and that the deficit in my understanding would be balanced by His fierce love for me—after all he knew how this would all end.
More importantly, He would be near to me as this experience colored my faith rich with hues of His mercy.
In His mercy, much of my sight was restored after a series of surgeries. In His mercy, my hearing has been partially repaired. In His mercy, I have been able to complete this new Code of Ethics project “Lost In Egypt” with limited senses.
My journey through this trial has been filled with both joy and sorrow. Yet I know God is to be praised in all things because every moment is an opportunity of intimacy with Him.

Bridgeshadows is the brainchild of kL, former keyboardist of Wedding Party. Bridgeshadows combines elements of goth, industrial, electronica and classic metal. The band began in 1999 and was first heard by the public with the launch of a site on the now defunct MP3.com.
During that time, Bridgeshadows released a limited CD-R EP for Cornerstone Festival 2002 and followed that up with its first independent self-titled release in 2004. Bridgeshadows signed to PsychoAcoustiX Records in 2005, but before its first release with the label, Carl Crandell, owner of PsychoAcoustiX Records, suddenly passed away and the label ceased all operation.
kL resumed writing music and recording demos independently. In late 2007, kL joined forces with Jonathan Stamets, producer/programmer and the front-man of Coriolis, and in January 2008 they welcomed a new vocalist and lyricist, Bethany Jones. Bridgeshadows’ newest album, Pray for Rain, was released at Cornerstone 2008 where the band performed!

The Time is now to set the record straight of how we don’t praise him for his greatness every single day Cause were ordinary (NO) extra ordinary And I’ve been waiting anticipating gotta give him the praise Here we go again with the same old story of a man who sent us a baby whom we give the glory its not because JESUS has been so good So I praise, I just praise, gotta Praise him today
