THE RETURN OF GRAMMATRAIN'S PAUL RORABACK!!!
Some of you may know PJ Bostic as Paul Roraback, the drummer and co-founder of Forefront recording artists GRAMMATRAIN, or as the drummer that can be heard on Bloodgood's “To Germany with Love” release.
After Grammatrain broke up in 1996 it took Paul years to come to terms with his feelings about the church, the Christian music industry and really just Christians in general. He loved God but after what he had seen and experienced he became leery of the church and it's believers. Knowing in his heart there's no such thing as a “lone Christian” he finally began attending church again in 2001 and joined the worship team. Even though he was now happily involved with the church, he still swore he would never return to the Christian music industry, and toured only with secular bands, most notably, guitar legend Monte Montgomery. He also spent a few years touring as a drum tech for drum legend Terry Bozzio - drummer of Missing Persons, Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck and more recently Korn. In the last few years Paul has sensed God calling him back into the Christian music industry and after much soul searching, he finally submitted to the call and created his first solo attempt: Bullies at the Border. The title is based on a book by Bruce Wilkinson called The Dream Giver, a parable about a man who leaves the land of ordinary to pursue his God given dream.
Upon finishing Bullies at the Border, Paul has felt more complete than ever. Having recorded most of the instruments himself, he's now hiring Christian musicians to tour with him live. Though he still plans to tour clubs as well as Christian venues, he's very much looking forward to working with Christians again. He felt that the secular industry was having a bigger effect on him than he was having on anyone else, and he was tired of being dragged down and feeling like was not being used by God the way that he was being used in Grammatrain. He is now very excited about the aspect of being a part of the Christian music industry again and hopes that he will be welcomed back with open arms.
In 2008 Paul Joseph Roraback changed his name to PJ Bostic to honor his Grandfather, Paul Bostic who has recently passed away.
