GLENN KAISER BAND The Chicago-based Glenn Kaiser Band is a classic blues/rock trio packing a musical punch reminiscent of Cream, Johnny Winter and ZZ Top, with a little Govt. Mule thrown in for good measure. GKB is led by Glenn Kaiser, longtime frontman for the pioneering Christian rock group Resurrection Band.Kaiser’s raspy, bluesy vocal style and searing electric, slide, and lap-steel guitar work is fully complimented by the powerful, rock-solid playing of bassist Roy Montroy. Formerly a band mate with Kaiser in Resurrection Band, Montroy teams up with Kaiser to write most of the songs for GKB. Drummer Ed Bialach drives GKB’s sonic barrage with both precision and flair.
The multi-talented Bialach began his association with Kaiser and Montroy as the live sound engineer for Resurrection Band. GKB shows are filled with energy, intensity and a surprisingly broad blend of hard rock and authentic blues.
