As the first sound plays, the doors open. The ceilings are high. The walls are covered in elaborate art that tells stories of allusive faith and possibilities. Angelic harmonies begin to circulate varying guitar frequencies that drive and sooth the passion inspired inside of you. This is the musical cathedral built by SONS. This is where potential is realized.
Playing with a poetic message and delivering it with power, SONS have created a masterful sound filled with highs and lows polarizing swings that mirror the beauty of lifes struggle and redemption. Led by multi-talented Aaron Newberry, SONS have spent the last four years manufacturing a gracious grassroots following on an empty budget. Their explosive The Genesis Prologue EP surpassed 10,000 downloads, and their debut album, with a release date yet to be determined, was funded completely by preorders. Over 7,000 dollars raised purely on anticipation!
Produced by the up-and-coming Jared Fox, at Fox Den Studios in Nashville, SONS' release of their first full-length will be monumental for both the band, as well as the progression of Christian and Mainstream rock. Their versatility is matched only by their sincerity. SONS have facilitated a medley of tones that has cultivated a truly refreshing, eclectic resonation.

Doubt Lyrics: Meet me in the corner of the parking lot, I dont care if you need to I dont care if you want to or not Find me close to dying there right in my chair I dont care where you take me as long as I dont have to be there
Youre the closest thing to mercy that Ive ever seen, barely breathing but Im listenin while your voice it starts to put me to sleep Chariots of fire coming down from the sky. What have I done? Heaven and Hell are surely gonna collide
And I know, shallow hearts thrill me God bless my soul, for the graves that Im digging This door is locked and dont you forget it, Im waiting to get in Ill find the keeper of the heavy-hearted men, the hands of doubt will crush us with the hands of sin
Come Emmanuel.Come Emmanuel.
Music and Lyrics written by: Aaron Newberry
Explanation/Meaning: Doubt is a story written in third person, about a college aged student who grew up in the church and attending youth group regularly. We meet him in a desolate parking lot this evening at the beginning of the song, he's bombarded with regret about the life he's come to lead as a college student as if it had happened without his knowledge. The regret leads him to the admission of guilt feeling shame and remorse but not knowing what to do about it. The Holy Spirit then greets him as you can see when the student says, "you're the closest thing to mercy that I\'ve ever seen." Essentially what follows is a spiritual battle and ends with reconciliation with a resounding, "Come Emmanuel.
