Where is the best place to store the newly downloaded file?
Below are a few facts on how Windows and Macs work with file storage on the local hard drive:
Windows: - "Desktop" is a special location and should NOT be where you store lots of files.
- My Documents is the optimum place to store these files, specifically in the "Music" folder:
- Browse to the Music folder
- Click on FILE, NEW, FOLDER
- Name the folder "HeirChex Digital Servicing"
Macintosh: - Your "Desktop" is a special location and should NOT be where you store lots of files.
- /USERS/<your username>/MUSIC is the optimum place to store these files:
- Browse to the Music folder
- Create a new folder "HeirChex Digital Servicing"
